1. Factories. Factories are the main source of Social City Coins. To have a healthy source of Social City Coins, you should max out the number of factories available for your population and make sure that when you create contracts, you can claim them at the contract finish time. The product in the contract expires after some period (these is like dishes in cafe world the spoils and get wasted after some time) so make sure you go online when your contracts are done.
2. Population. Population is a pre-requisite for number of factories that you can have. So make sure your population is increasing steadily (or aggressively) to have more factories. More factories mean more social city coins and more social city coins mean more money to spend on buildings and this means faster leveling.
3. Planning. Plan your Facebook online time and create buildings and contracts accordingly. This is one Social City tips is very critical so that you will enjoy the game while have good results. What I mean by planning your Facebook online time is that if you go online Facebook very much often (I call this the facebook-addict mode) then create residential units and factory contracts can produce population and products in short time (minutes). If you are a casual Facebook user, try the buildings and products that finish in several hours (examples is 6-8 hours residential buildings and contracts).
4. More Friends, More Neighbors. Social City is a social game so add up your friends and family members in Facebook and interact with them. Neighbors are required for expanding city limits (city area) and the more neighbors means more city area which means more places to create buildings and factory. Visit the cities of your neighbors it gives out free city coins.
5. Want free City Coins and free City Bucks? This is easy, just click on the Get City Bucks tab (the tab between invite friends and help on the upper portion of the game screen. OK here is the paid one:

Just check the lower portion. Just after the PayPal and credit cards, there are lots of categories out there that is giving away free city bucks that can be used in the Social City game.
I’ve recently played Social City on Facebook. It’s a new game on Facebook made by Playdom. It is still in beta, so there are still some glitch on the game.
Social City is like Sim City where you create and manage your own city. You start with a small city and as you level up, you get more items you can build. You get bonus items when you complete some action like becoming a fan of their Facebook page, subscribing and giving your e-mail address and so on.
You gain experience points and money from contracts from your factories. Factories are like your cooking stove in Cafe World. You get contracts and accomplish them in a specified period of time. Some contracts can be accomplished in 20 minutes while some can be accomplished in hours and even days. The trick is to get the 20-minute contracts while you are still beginning. Then, you select the long contracts depending on your plan on when to go online next time. If you plan to go online after 1 day, select the 24-hour contracts.
Your population grows from the residential units you build. Some cheap cottages can give you 10 people every 8 minutes while a log hut can give you 75 people every 6 hours. Just choose your residential units wisely because overpopulation can also be a problem.
Build leisure items such as parks, restaurants and coffee shops. Leisure items kept the population happy making your whole city happy.
I still have more things to discover on Social City. I just want to ask people from Playdom to give us the ability to rotate the building because it’s ugly if your building is not facing the street, right?
Howdy players? Tired of playing farm games, restaurant games, mafia games and aquarium games? Now, there is a new game in Facebook created by Playdom, the Social City game.
I’ve been playing the game for more than a week and let me share some Social City tips, tricks and cheats based on my own social city experience.
Social City is a simulation game like Sim City where you build and run your own virtual city. It is still in beta, so like any other games in Facebook there are still some glitch on the game.
To start, you will get 40,000 coins and 10 city bucks to spend for your city, three house cottages for you to grow your population, two factories for you to earn coins and a woodland park to make your people happy.
The objective of the game is for you to create your own city, make the population grows and to keep your people happy.
Population:
Build residential buildings to grow population. It brings new people into the city. There are different types of residential buildings, like house cottages, log hut, hotel, bungalows and so on. A log hut creates 75 people in 6 hours while a cottage gives you 10 people in every 8 minutes.
When you reach 1000 citizens you receive “Wide Spot in the Road” achievement, a 3000 coins and a community center.
Happiness:
The icon on your upper right shows the moods of your people. If they are sad, your population cannot grow. Build leisure buildings and decorations to make your people happy.
Experience Points:
You gain experience points everytime your population grows. You can also gain experience points everytime you completed a contract, everytime you build residential buildings, leisure buildings and factories. You also get experience points by simply decorating your city with terrain.
There are also some achievements, that gives you extra experience points like “Factory Operator Badge”
Earn Coins:
You earn coins by completing a contract. You can build contracts by clicking on a factory in your city. Each contract can be done in a specified period of time. A 5 minutes contract will give you 350 coins while a 20 minutes contract will give you 1,230 coins. Some contracts can be done in longer hours and even in days.
Aside from completing a contract, once you level up, you also get a corresponding coins and city bucks reward.
When you log in every day, you get a daily bonus and that adds up to your coins.
Cleaning leisure buildings also gives you extra coins.
You can also earn coins by helping your friends city so it is very important to add as many friends as you can so you have someone to visit while waiting for your contracts to complete.
